On July 28th, in the brisk morning of Southern Illinois, the dew settles upon the grass and the smell of downtown pavement tickles the senses. The site is a vast array of athletes and spectators. Vendors of coffee, bagels and apparel scattered along the streets. Athletes from across southern Illinois begin to set up their tents and stocking the coolers at the break of day. Excitement of what is to come builds up as you sip your coffee and wait for the WOD Briefing and National Anthem. Then at 9am sharp at the CrossRoads of America, the First Annual "CrossRoads Clash" begins.
In this one day event, you will battle it out face to face with other teams from across Southern Illinois for the Title of "CrossRoads Champions". Events will involve but not limited to Monostructural, Gymnastics, Weightlifting, Odd objects and Strongman implements. Individual as well as team performances will shine through for each of the events.
The Event is held during the Annual Effingham HAM Jam Celebration. With-in 2 blocks of the event there are 4 local favorite bars and restaurants ranging from Famous Joe's Pizza, Gophers Pub, Effin' Brewery, Village Wine, The Office Pub, Scrubby's Pub, and live music to fill the streets.

FLOATER - SLOPPIN' THE HOGS (Choose Wisely)
